Syncopated Rhythms (Coming Soon, 2025)
Syncopation is a disturbance or interruption of the regular flow of rhythm, a placement of rhythmic stresses or accents where they wouldn't normally occur. When you read Syncopated Rhythms my hope is you'll read them collectively as a playlist, like hearing that new soul album the first time, how the heart opens and then the whole body follows.
Syncopated Rhythms bring into sharp relief subtexts of the ordinary— the rhythmic in our lives interrupted by a walk in the desert; a woman on the subway; a bear eating out of someone’s hand. With strong poetic voice and lyrical vision, Rabinowitz takes his readers on a memorable ride through a series of 13 short stories: part poem, part prose, deftly combining concrete images with streams of consciousness in new and surprising ways. Rabinowitz’s details about cities are as compelling as his observations about art, sushi dinners, or a Netflix show. As a storyteller Rabinowitz masterfully depicts the wounded topography of a soul-searching odyssey that transcends traditional literary narrative.
Syncopated Rhythms will delight and challenge readers with its innovative and refreshing style from start to finish.
Grand Street, Revisited (2023)
Grand Street, Revisited, a hybrid of prose, poetry, and collaboration across disciplines, will delight anyone who loves art. In this tiny volume Paul Rabinowitz takes us to the heart of inspiration, where sparks of attention, intended and unintended, launch an enfolding journey. In “The Wish” Rabinowitz writes, I wouldn’t struggle/with the truth, inviting his readers to tangle with profound matters, such as what is and is not fiction and why it might, or might not, matter. As we ponder the role of history and memory in Grand Street, Revisited, Rabinowitz’s narrative empowers us to recall our own cherished trajectories. A heartfelt book that’s a joy to read.
This collection is written in poetry and prose and has served as the basis of a collaboration with visual artist, Anna Hershinow, who has created eight large scale abstract paintings inspired by each written piece. This collaboration underscores the idea that the truth of art can transcend its medium, creating fruitful and valuable conversations among its pieces which can further elucidate central truths.

truth, love and the lines in between (2023)
The poems in truth, love, and the lines in between ride the convergence of O’Hara’s ability to focus on the everyday and Steinbeck’s passion for his subjects. Regardless of the particular content of each poem, this collection reveals a mind grappling with the precarious relationship between how we represent the world and its complexities. Rabinowitz’s brilliant, succinct verse conjures sensual and complex images, examines the natural strength of the earth and of love, and is the result of deep contemplation and self-reflection. Rabinowitz seizes each moment of experience, studies it with keen intelligence, and then complicates and delivers his insights with eloquence, leaving the reader satiated. With poems that beg their form, lines that ring with verity, and engaging subject matter, there is no doubt that truth, love, and the lines in between is a standout collection.

LIMITED LIGHT (2019)
“Although my primary medium is writing, I find that the camera affords me a different view and perspective to tell a story. Setting up compositions during a photo session allows me an opportunity to slow down a story’s action. Body language and facial expression are amplified and framed. This is similar to what I hope to achieve with my writing, but with photography it’s more immediate. When I look through the lens before I press the button, it’s like looking through a microscope. I see things that might not be evident otherwise.”
Each portrait in this collection was shot by Rabinowitz with his Nikon D7000 using only natural light. There is no manipulation or enhancement of any of the photos, so what you see is what he saw when he took the photo. This inspiring collection is being offered in a perfect-bound, signed limited edition. A wonderful book to fuel your creativity.
